Both the Key Stage 3 and 4 learners went out to a Knife Crime presentation at the Quayside led by Samantha’s Legacy. They talked about how a member of their family was a victim of murder due to knife crime in Newcastle and the effect that it has on their lives daily. The learners were really intrigued by this and asked some fantastic questions in regards to what can actually happen if you carry a knife in the community and the consequences to this. After the presentation, the learners went up to see the ‘Knife Angel’ at the sage and they left some of their own messages to loved ones who had been affected by knife crime. The learners were impeccable and the feedback was fantastic from the staff running the event!
