Visit to Newcastle College
Seven Year 11 learners from Trinity Academy Upper Site had an excellent destination visit to Newcastle College. This involved visits to Parsons to have a look at the facilities and meet learners on health and care, childcare and science courses.
This was followed by a visit to the Construction Academy where they could learn bricklaying, plastering, roofing, painting and decorating, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and electrical installation.
They then went to the lifestyles academy to witness learners in practical activities in hair, beauty and makeup, travel and hospitality. Also, they witnessed the amazing facilities and the food being prepared on the Hospitality and catering courses.
Finally, the visited the Central Support Service to see they wonderful SENCOs who will help them with all aspects of life at college.
A very busy visit and the learners gain a lot of valuable information to help them make the next steps in their education
