Trinity Upper School Have Their Say

In school council this week we have discussed leadership and voting. Discussing the importance of a democratic voting process as well as why everyone’s voice should be included in the decision making process. These discussion have coincided with the British Youth Council’s annual ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign to ensure young people have a chance to voice what matters most to them.
Trinity learners are offered a ballot paper, which includes 10 topics and each learner will pick one subject that matters most to them. The three top issues with the most votes will become the campaigns that Members of Youth Parliament work on thought their two year term. Topics range from Climate Change to COVID 19 recovery and many more.
Young people across the country in schools, colleges and youth groups will have their chance to vote thought February and Trinity Upper Site, led by the school council, are making their mark this year.
