Solving Mathematical Murders

Learners in their Numeracy lessons have been demonstrating and developing their mathematical knowledge with a series of ‘Murders’.

To solve the murders, learners have needed to draw on their prior knowledge, and current lessons and use all their English and Literacy skills to decipher the clues, to eliminate the suspects.

The first in the series was set in a gym, with shapes, coordinates, angles and directions incorporated into the clues. The learners found the Morse Code clue the most interesting as required them to identify punctuation!...

Great fun, great challenges and interesting to see how some learners shared their knowledge and skills with each other.
