School Council Show Kindness to Support Refugee’s
During the last school term, our learners discussed the current situation in Afghanistan in PSHE lessons. The young people discussed how difficult it had become for people living under the Taliban regime and how refugees were fleeing for their own safety and some of these people would come to the North East and need our help.
The upper site school council decided to support refugee’s in the North East by having a collection for toiletries. Learners and staff donated items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste and deodorant and these kind donations were dropped off in half term to West End Refugee Service.
