Sanctuary | New term, new beginnings

Everyone in The Sanctuary is so excited about what lies ahead this term! Learners have a lot to look forward to, from new topics to forest school graduations. Some learners are ready to graduate from forest school, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they have achieved, and we know they are pleased with themselves too.

This marks the beginning of new things for learners who will be beginning new phases, moving from stabilisation when learners start, through to reprocessing when they are ready for exciting changes and personal development.

For learners who are staying on at forest school, there are still plenty of exciting things to look forward to, from using the newly-renovated camp which learners led on and built, to a new learning area which has recently been discovered. Watch this space!

We have been unbelievably excited to be back on Trinity farm again this term now that it has reopened. Learners have been helping staff to look after the animals by helping them feed and mucking out their pens.

Here at The Sanctuary the farm helps us learn about animals, their care and how a farm operates, not to mention social skills. The staff have already sent us some amazing feedback about how wonderful our learners have been, the respect and politeness they have been showing is something we are all so proud of.

Also be sure to watch this space for a special Christmas celebrations which are currently being planned. This is top secret!
