New Term, New Experiences

Our newest Sanctuary learner has shown a keen interest in bugs and nature since he started this term, and so we have been out to the farm, looking up close in the bushes and trees around site as we searched for insects.

We found there were a lot of bees, spiders and woodlice. Our learner collected bugs and proudly showed staff and learners around the school their findings. We learned a lot together and found out about insect habitats, handling them with care and finding out about their lifestyles. We are going to spend a lot of this term focusing on nature and the outdoors as our own forest school will be up and running for learners to explore and enjoy. This exciting new area for therapeutic development is going to be extremely beneficial for our learners, and we all look forward to the experiences they are going to have.
