Highways Industry Careers Day
Years 9 - 11 learners from Trinity Academy Newcastle upper Site, had the opportunity to visit New College Durham. The Highways Industry is an exciting and diverse industry with an array of opportunities for young people to explore.
There were stands giving invaluable information in careers including:
- Engineering (Design Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering)
Road Construction and Road Marking- Traffic Management
- Innovation
- Commercial
- Finance
- IT and Health and Safety
On some stalls, learners had the opportunity to complete road roads or build houses in VR. We returned with some very excited and invigorated learners.
