We rolled out the rip-roaring Read, Write, Inc. Fresh Start programme in early October and already we have seen all of our learners who require this literacy and reading support, begin to thrive and blossom. All sessions are for 20 minutes per day and each learner has one of our Phonics Fab Five team as their 1:1. These were hand-picked to best suit our learner's social, emotional and mental health needs alongside their SENDs.

How's it Going?

The impact of the programme has been incredible. Engagement is up and we even have learners accessing more of their curriculum due to their increased phonetic knowledge.

We also need to add in our Superstar Shout-Outs for this term on the programme:

Tyler - The first learner to complete an entire module in under 2 weeks!

Paige - Has not made a single spelling error in English since starting the programme!

Caine - Developing his speech within the programme so much that he's now Nurture Group's resident chatterbox!

What's next? 

Over the next few weeks, our Reading Lead, Miss Quearns, will be sending out updates to parents of the learners on the programme and log ins so that you can check in on your child's progress and also continue to develop their reading and literacy skills at home.
