Courage and Perseverance

Change can be difficult, especially when we are comfortable and settled. Transitions can be uncomfortable as learners have to navigate change, but with encouragement and assistance, transitions can be successful.

As The Sanctuary is a transitional building, learners here will eventually transition out of the building. It can be difficult when learners have built strong attachments with staff and peers, but with courage, learners can also recognise the positives that come along with embracing change. In PHSE lessons, we discuss the positives and negatives that come along with change and how we can make change positive. Through these lessons, learners can build up the courage to persevere and endure through change in order to achieve success.

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.” - Mary Anne Radmacher
