Communication Skills

During the English lesson, the grey group focused on building their confidence for the functional skills exam. They worked in small groups, where each person had to draw a diagram based on verbal instructions from someone else—but they weren’t allowed to see the diagram!

This meant they had to work hard at making sure their directions were clear and concise, avoiding overly complex language. The task encouraged them to listen carefully, clarify details, and communicate effectively. It was a brilliant activity that not only helped develop their practical communication skills but also fostered relationship-building within the group. As you can imagine, they were very proud of their efforts and the progress they made!
