Kindness

As an educational provider we believe kindness is vital in day-to-day education and part of the scaffolding towards a better future, the sanctuary promotes random acts of kindness such as small gestures for example opening the door for someone and having basic manners.

These acts of altruism never go unrecognised, and our learners are always praised for their positive actions.

Kindness can positively impact the mental health and emotional well-being of our learners. This is because here at the sanctuary we make them know that the actions they choose to make are positive. Kindness in schools can increase the levels of serotonin released. Acts of kindness are also associated with the brains production of endorphins. In this way, kindness can promote feelings off trust, empathy and social bonding. Not only does promoting acts of kindness benefit our learners in the sanctuary now, but it also benefits them for the future when it comes to building positive relationships and environments.
