Music Drop Down Day- Making your own Djembe Drum
As part of the Upper Site’s musical drop down day, learners took part in a variety of lessons relating to different music such as African, Djembe drumming and DJ practice.
Learners and Mrs Howe embarked upon a special craft experiment to see if they could make their own Djembe drum. Using plastic cups, balloons, masking tape and a little creativity, learners constructed heir make shift drums and have a fantastic session playing little beats on them. The added patterns made them more eye catching and each and every learner was shocked that they actually managed to play a tune. A huge well done to all.
