To Quill A Mock Exam…

And so we began the most difficult, stressful part of a Year 11 learner’s education; the build up to their final GCSE Exams.
With careful planning, the exam season should be smooth running, exciting but also full of anxiety so to support our learners we set up the hall to embrace the environment they will face.
Those with additional needs were fully supported, with isolation booths, readers, scribes, prompts and they sat. It wasn’t easy, some learners found it difficult to put pen to paper and some gave everything they had to answering as many questions as they could, with quality over quantity.
Speaking with the learners following their mock English and Maths exams, they were feeling good about what is to come in May. They felt better prepared being in the hall, or in their booth and could understand the pressures we, as teachers feel in the preparation.
So as we move forward, and practice exam paper after exam paper, fill in the gaps and provide all our learners with the best resources we can off, we can only ask one thing in return and that is that our learners do one thing.
Try your best!
