Year 10 GCSE English Literature

Yellow Group have started their GCSE English Literature syllabus with J.B Priestley’s ‘An Inspector Calls’. We began with an introduction to the characters in the play and have looked at the Social and Historical Context surrounding it. We now plan to read the play in class and everyone has a part to play. It has to be said that everyone reading a part has some very impressive acting ability.

The nineteenth-century text is a major part of the AQA GCSE Literature syllabus. Learners will need to answer a question in the exam on the play.

If you haven’t read or seen ‘An Inspector Calls’, you really should.

I know that Yellow Group would highly recommend it.
